2^nd Working Meeting Action Groups, to be held on June 4, 2018.

The 1^st Working Meeting of the Action Groups, held on April 13, and whose Report can be accessed here, identified important problems and causes related to the medical devices market in Portugal. In order to deepen the discussion and obtain more information on this subject, the 2^nd Working Meeting of the Action Groups will be held on June 4, 2018, with the following objectives:

1. 1. Consolidation of the conclusions regarding the problems and causes identified;
2.  
3. 2. Identification of good practices and solutions, in particular through the perspectives of each participating entity;
4.  
5. 3. Identification of missing information to identify good practices and solution.

 

The Meeting will be composed of 4 different moments, namely:

• • Beginning of Group discussion (all 3 Groups meet simultaneously, in separate locations, for about 1 hour);
•  
• • Interval and networking (coffee-break with all Groups together for about 15min);
•  
• • Continuation of the Group discussion (all 3 Groups meet together, in separate locations, for about 40 minutes);
•  
• • Conclusion of the Group discussion, sharing of conclusions and results and obtaining feedback from the other Groups (moment with all Groups together, lasting approximately 20min).

 

All participants who have an interest in attending the Working Meetings can be part of one of the Action Groups. Action Groups:

1. Action Group 1 - Clarification of regulatory issues associated with medical devices and their impact on national entities involved in the process of transferring and upgrading medical devices;
2.  
3. Action Group 2 - Survey of obstacles and promotion of mechanisms interaction between the national entities involved in the process of co-development and validation of medical devices;
4.  
5. Action Group 3 - Promotion of effectiveness in the technology transfer processes in the MDevNet network partners for the adequate valuation of technology-based medical devices, based on their specific skills and competences (eg technical, scientific or legal).
