Seminar Description
The Seminar "Transfer of the Knowledge of Medical Devices of Technological Base: R&D Applied to Medical Devices" will be a space for knowledge sharing, by entities with experience and success demonstrated in the valorization of scientific knowledge in the area of medical devices, with members of the MDevNet Network with a prominent role in the research and development phase of medical devices.
Will be the opportunity to:
1) Sharing of specific good practices for researchers as to how they can enhance the impact of their research taking into account their possible transfer to the market, which may include consideration in R&D planning of the requirements that may be required for the certification process marketing;
2) Knowledge of national companies with outstanding experience in the valuation of scientific knowledge in the area of medical devices.
Audience
Entities participating in the process of research, development, marketing, adoption or use of technology based medical devices, which include entities members of the MDevNet Network, in particular:
- Researchers in the area of medical devices;
- Health professionals participating in co-development or convalidation activities;
- R&D entities, such as Universities or R&D Institutes;
- Companies with R&D Departments (mostly, they should be: startups and SMEs).

About the Keynote Speaker (Karin Schulze):
Karin Schulze is a leading specialist in the medical device industry with extensive knowledge and experience in the development of medical devices and in vitro diagnostics. In her career, Karin led a notified body (for a long time), worked with the new MDR/IVR regulations, and is currently Leader of Regulatory Affairs and Medical Devices at SFL – Solutions for Life sciences.
